African Iris’ are quite tolerant of heat \u0026amp; drought, \u0026amp; can thrive in a variety of settings from desert to coastal conditions. They are deer \u0026amp; rabbit resistant too. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis East African native is hardy in zones 8 – 11, but can be fully enjoyed in cooler climates. They grow quickly enough to be enjoyed as an annual, can be brought indoors over the winter, or grown as a houseplant year round. The plants will also form corms that can be dug in fall \u0026amp; stored over the winter to replant the following spring.
